Mind, body, spirit, planet.

Hi!

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Heidi and I am an environmental enthusiast, yoga instructor, and mindfulness practitioner. Although I have been practicing yoga for almost a decade now (thanks mom) I didn’t fully fall in love with the practice until about 5 years ago. I graduated from Hofstra University with my bachelors degree in Dance Performance. Shortly after graduating, I broke my foot and required surgery. After the injury, I fell in love with the yogic practice and used it to help mend my body and mind.

As for my love for the environment, that has been a life long affair. Growing up in a small town in PA, I was exposed to the outdoors regularly. Additionally, I come from a family of outdoorsy people and was raised on hiking, camping, kayaking, nature classes, and so much more. My conservation efforts include becoming a vegetarian (since 2017), attempting to lower my single use plastic consumption, and shopping locally/seasonally, just to name a few. I hope to inspire others to take a look at their lifestyle and see ways they can help the planet, and themselves, in easy and fun ways.

Finally, the mind and spirit. I’ve come to realize that living a healthy and well rounded life is more than just taking care of our physical body. Our mind, emotions, spirit, soul, whatever you want to call it, is many times far more important. And, in my opinion, harder to care for. In today’s society it has become all too common to place ourselves on a lower rung of importance in comparison to our jobs, sleep, family, eating habits, hobbies, etc. So how do we combat this? Meditation, taking time for self-care, and sometimes, being a little selfish even if it goes against our nature.

In this little corner of the vast internet I hope to share these passions with you. Stay connected with me on Instagram to learn of new posts and create a community of conscious, soul-searching and loving individuals. My hope is that together we can create a healthier and more conscious human race. Leaving the world better than how we found it.
